If you've been living under a rock for the past three years and have for some reason never heard of Twilight, here is a brief synopsis of the book. Prepare to be bitten by the Twilight bug.
Twilight is about a young girl named Isabella--Bella--Swan. After her mother re-marries and moves to Flordia with her new husband, Bella decides--reluctantly--to move to the dreary town of Forks, Washington to live with her father, Charlie.
In Forks the rain never seems to cease and Bella is about to re-evaluate her decison; that is, until she meets Edward Cullen.
She is told by her newly made friends that Edward and his brothers, Emmet and Jasper, and his sisters Roasile and Alice, were adopted by Dr. Carisle and his wife Esme. They are breathtakingly beautiful, but they keep to themselves. None of the Cullens date.
But Bella has an eye for the gorgeous Edward. However, Edward seems at first to despise the very exsistance of Bella the first few days after they "meet".
Percularily, all of a sudden they befriend each other. However, Bella starts to notcie some "odd" things about Edward. For instance, Edward has pale white skin, always goes "camping" on sunny days, has golden brown eyes one day and jet black eyes a few days later, and the darker his eyes the crankier he is.
Despite these abnormalities, Bella and Edward become more fond of each other. Until one day, when the streets are icy, Bella is almost crushed by a careening car. She looks across the parking lot to see Edward, a long ways away with horror on his face. Suddenly, she is being thrown to the ground and shielded from the car by Edward, whom Bella insists traveled over a hundred feet in less than a second.
Bella does some digging of her own on Edward, and one day he finally confesses to her his secert...he is a vampire. However, him and his family choose to feed on the abundance of bears throughout the area, rather than feed on humans.
A romance blooms and all seems well, until one day a herd of three vampires come from out of town--thought these prefer human blood. After Edward makes a display of protecting Bella from them, one of the rabid vampires decides he wants to hunt and kill her.
Can Edward protect her? Or will being with her send her to her doom? Read "Twilight" to find out!
